After some well attended pre season training, Walsall showed that they had made good progress and proceeded to outplay a Queen Mary's side that although they showed real courage to keep tackling, never looked like causing Walsall a problem. There were good debuts by Cameron Kirkbride, Joe White and Faith Mabelwanga and the scorers were Alex Fletcher (3), Nico Watkins(2), Rory Rollason, Arron Collier, Rhys Gadhu and Careron Kirkbride. There were three conversions, one by Rhys Gadhu and two by Rory Rollason.
