Walsall proved too strong for D.K. in this friendly. Walsall travelled with a bare squad following a number of cry offs but still proved too much for a spirited D.K. team. Walsall played up the slope and quickly established a lead when from a qickly tapped penalty, the ball went wide to Nico Watkins to use his pace around the outside to score under the posts. This was converted by Jamie Harding. Walsall were dominating in most areas of the game and were soon crossing the line again when after a series of recycled ball, Cameron Kirkbride sprinted around and under the posts for a try again converted by Jamie Harding. The final score of the half for Walsall came from a strong run by Nico Watkins who unloaded to Alex Fletcher to cross for an unconverted try leaving the half time score 0-19.
Dk started the second half really well and managed to cross the Walsall line wide out for a converted score. Walsall soon hit back when from a 5m scrum, Jamie Harding picked up and drove over the line for an unconverted try. This was followed by another period for Walsall where they camped in the DK half. This was rewarded when Nico Watkins used his speed to outstrip the defence to score. Jamie Harding converted. The final score came when Arun Collier wrestled the ball from a maul and went blind to find his way 30yds clear to the line to score an unconverted try. The final score was Dk 7 - Walsall 36
