Well, after a fantastic first season for Walsall's Under 7's its time to draw the 2012-13 season to an end. We've been lucky to retain players from last year as well as picking up lots of new talent as the season progressed. Obviously winning the Staffs Festival was a fantastic achievement, but its how ALL of the players have gelled and progressed both as individuals and as a team that has impressed me most.

As testament to all their hard work, following the last training session we presented each player with certificates and medals, but special mentions have to go to Ben W and Maxwell. The parents voted and Ben was awarded the Most Improved Player and Maxwell was awarded Player Of The Season. Both deserved winners with several players close on their heels....

Fingers crossed, we will get to see all of the players again next season, but with increased team sizes and bigger pitches, we'll be after new players! So, friends, family, school mates, tell them what a great sport we play and get them involved too!

Looking forward to 2013-2014 season, when we move up to the Under 8's......
