A good season was capped off with a day out at Leicester Tigers. With a celebrity lookalike coach driver Claudio Ranieri aka Andy driving us it was going to be a day to remember.
The lads were given a work out from the Tigers coaches after receiving their T shirts and a Q & A from new recruit Leicester Tigers Samoan Prop Aniseko Sio . Some ended up with not so perfect T shirts afterwards.
After the lads "showered" it was off to the game.
At half time it was Walsall Bandits traditional team photo on the pitch, we were joined by Gonzalo Camacho this time. Then off to watch the rest of the game.
A bit of banter after the game. The final whistle went and the coach driver rang to say he and 10+ other coaches and a mass of cars were locked in the King Power stadium. A malfunction on the "out" barrier meant nobody was leaving! Security had gone home. So while we were waiting there was plenty to amuse us. Watching a slightly worst for wear fancy dress party, headed by Bananas in pyjamas entertaining the traffic by washing windscreens.
Not to mention Liam asking if he had time to order a pizza before the coach was coming. The lad was excited at the thought of getting a medium size fresh pizza for a £5. Oh the disappointment on his face when the boxed pizza came off the counter measuring about 6 inches square. A growing lad was a bit confused shall we say. Priceless look on his face.
We finally got away at 5:50pm from Leicester.
It was nice to see everyone having a great day, especially the new players and parents that have joined the team this season.
See you all on Friday 17th June for the celebration evening.
Rob.
