The artificial grass pitch at Delves Road ensured that this latest Midlands League game could be played despite cold conditions. The spectators, who had made the effort to attend, were treated to some good rugby played by two teams who showed a very positive attitude throughout. While the hosts are struggling near the foot of the Midlands Two West league, the visitors are well placed and pushing for promotion. The North Staffordshire team had opened the scoring after just four minutes, but the hosts were soon pressing with Noah Beaty putting over a penalty and converting an Adam Nunney try after a lineout close to the Trentham try-line. The visitors responded with a penalty and two tries before the interval. Lewis Dono and Joel Bezus being the points scorers.
The visitors then extended their lead with a penalty try and a Jon Carr try. The game moved into the final quarter with two well created tries by Nico Watkins and Xavier Massyn. But another brace of tries by Carr and Bezus secured a bonus point win for Trentham.
